Since commencing his career as Photographer, Ian has received numerous commissions to photograph celebrities, including actors and personalities from the world of film and TV, authors and politicians. Photographing celebrities requires strong interpersonal and organisational skills, as often this kind of work is very pressured, allowing little time for creativity. More recently, Ian has been commissioned to produce the images for the on-going celebrity Testicular Cancer Awareness campaign known as Checkum, which has featured professional actors, television and sports personalities and music stars. This work has been particularly demanding because the celebrities involved are usually on a tight schedule, plus have to appear completely naked. Ian therefore has to employ all his people skills when it comes to Checkum shoots and apply a little extra sensitivity!
